Privacy Policy

How Vertexia handles account, learning, payment, and service information.

Updated October 13, 2026

1. Information we receive

Account authentication is handled by Clerk. Account information such as your name, email address, and account identifier may be used when you create or use a Vertexia account.

Vertexia stores learning records including completed lessons, study activity dates, quiz answer keys and explanations, submitted answers, results, and mastery information. Generated study guides are returned to your browser rather than saved as study-guide records by the application. Payment card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by Vertexia.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize lessons, save progress across devices, secure accounts, process memberships, improve the service, and comply with applicable requirements.

AI-assisted study tools send lesson context, your selected guide options, and optional focus text to the configured server-side AI service. Vertexia does not deliberately add your account name, email address, or account identifier to generation prompts. Automated filtering of obvious contact details cannot identify or remove every personal detail. Do not include sensitive personal information in a study request.

3. Service providers

Clerk provides authentication and account tools. Stripe processes payments and manages billing. Replit provides application hosting and integration infrastructure.

The application uses a server-side AI integration with an OpenAI-compatible API for generation. These services may process the information needed to perform their functions.

Google Sheets is used for affiliate accounting reports. Those reports include referral associations, account identifiers, Stripe customer, subscription, invoice and charge identifiers, payment amounts, refunds, fees, and commissions. Browsers also request font files from Google Fonts. Provider-side data use and retention are governed by the relevant provider arrangements and policies.

4. Cookies and referrals

When you arrive using a valid tutor referral link, Vertexia stores a first-party referral cookie for up to 60 days. After sign-in, that referral can be associated with your account for membership attribution and affiliate accounting. The referring tutor may receive a commission on qualifying membership payments; this does not change the displayed membership price.

The application also includes a sidebar preference cookie with a seven-day lifetime. Authentication and payment providers may use cookies for their services. Removing the referral cookie does not remove an attribution already recorded against an account.

5. Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

6. Your choices

You can review or update certain account details through the account tools made available by the authentication provider. You may cancel your membership through the billing portal. Additional privacy rights may apply under the law where you live.

7. Security

No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for avoiding the submission of information that is not needed to use the service.

8. Children and families

Vertexia is designed for high-school geometry learners. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the service with a parent or legal guardian where required. The service is not directed to children below the minimum age permitted by applicable law.

9. Policy updates

This policy may be updated as the service or applicable requirements change. Updates become effective when posted unless applicable law requires otherwise. This policy does not create contractual rights or obligations beyond those imposed by applicable law.
